Asbestos
 
Class No: 40073 Class Name: Asbestos Awareness

(OSHA Class IV)  OSHA requires 2 hours of Asbestos Awareness training for people who perform Class IV Activities. This means maintenance and custodial activities during which employees contact but Do Not Disturb ACM or PACM and activities to clean up dust, waste and debris resulting from Class I, II and III activities.

This class meets from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm     

 
Class No: 40024 Class Name: Asbestos Building Inspector- Initial

IDPH AND IDEM APPROVED. This course is a 3 day (24 hour) class. It provides the student with the information required to inspect all types of facilities for Asbestos Containing Materials (ACM). This class is a specialty at Amerisafe because our instructors possess many years of hands-on experience in building inspection & assessment.

Class No: 40025 Class Name: Asbestos Building Inspector- Refresher
This is a ½ day (4 hour) refresher course as required by the EPA to maintain an accreditation. It fulfills IDPH & IDEM requirements for annual licensing.  This class is held from 8:00 am to 12:00 pm.

Class No: 40022 Class Name: Asbestos Contractor/Supervisor- Initial
 

IDPH AND IDEM APPROVED. This course is a 5 day (40 hour) course for asbestos abatement supervisors. It also fulfills IDPH requirements for an asbestos project manager. This course will assist in developing the competency of the supervisor in charge of the project.

Class No: 40023 Class Name: Asbestos Contractor/Supervisor- Refresher

IDPH AND IDEM APPROVED - This is an 8 hour course. It is also required annually to maintain a license. Special emphasis on supervisory responsibilities is stressed in this class.  It also fulfills the IDPH Project Managers annual licensing requirements.

Class No: 40027 Class Name: Asbestos Management Planner- Refresher

IDPH APPROVED - This is a ½ day (4 hour) refresher course. It covers all of the required topics to fulfill the AHERA Refresher curriculum.  The class is held from 12:30 pm to 4:30 pm

 
Class No: 40074 Class Name: Asbestos Operations & Maintenance-Initial

This 2 day (16 hour) course is mandated by OSHA for maintenance activities where “ACM”, including TSI Surfacing and Miscellaneous materials may be disturbed. Typically, this course is provided to maintenance personnel from hospitals, universities, colleges, public works, tradesman and telecommunications companies.  This class is held from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm each day.  Continental breakfast and lunch are served each day.

 

 
Class No: 40075 Class Name: Asbestos Operations & Maintenance-Refresher
This ½ day (4 hour) refresher course keeps maintenance personal updated on changes in the industry. It is a good idea for crews who don’t deal with asbestos on a day to day basis to get refreshed on the rules and regulations annually.  This class is held from 8:00 am to 12:00 pm. 
 
Class No: 40020 Class Name: Asbestos Worker Initial

IDPH AND IDEM APPROVED. This course is a 4 day (32 hour) initial course for Asbestos Workers. It fulfills OSHA’s requirements to perform class I & II work. This course meets EPA’s model accreditation plan for AHERA, and is required for licensing by IDPH and IDEM.   

 
Class No: 40021 Class Name: Asbestos Worker- Refresher
IDPH AND IDEM APPROVED - This is an 8 hour annual refresher course which is required by the EPA, IDPH & IDEM to keep a current license and keep working in the asbestos field. The course is designed to keep an Asbestos Worker informed with current information in an ever evolving industry. Emphasis is on Safety at Amerisafe Training Services.

Class No: 2010 Class Name: Lead Renovation, Repair and Painting

LEAD RRP

A course designed to satisfy the USEPA rule requiring the use of lead-safe practices for anyone performing renovation, repair and painting projects that disturb lead based paint in pre-1978 housing, child care facilities and schools.

Class starts at 8 AM-4 PM; held at our Aurora, IL training facility or offsite for 8 or more individuals. On site lunch is included.

Mold
 
Class No: 40080 Class Name: Mold Awareness Course 2 hour

This course is designed for custodians and maintenance professionals who may come in contact with small amounts of mold (10sq.ft. or less).  The course will provide individuals with the knowledge necessary to remediate and properly clean the affected area.

 

This class is held from 8:00 am to 10:00 am

 

 

 
Class No: 40082 Class Name: Mold Inspection

Class topics include inspection techniques for residential, commercial, and special use properties, mold sampling strategies and equipment, report writing and evaluation of technical reports.

Class No: 40081 Class Name: Mold Worker 8 Hour

The Mold Worker Course was developed directly from EPA Guidelines “Mold Remediation in Schools and Commercial Buildings” and New York City Department of Health guidelines on “Assessment and Remediation of Fungi in indoor environments”. The course focuses on proper use of PPE and removal techniques.  This is an Initial class

Class No: 01 Class Name: Mold: Recognition and Prevention

This course was developed to assist school districts, building owners, hospitals, apartment managers, and other large building owners to manage the mold problem that is gaining significance and has increased public awareness every year.
